The game of cricket

The  CAR , from its inception, to the game of cricket, which is still practiced in the Club to date, was incorporating more and new sports, mainly athletics, football and rugby. The first of them had in the Club one of its most effective and enthusiastic cultists, resulting in the Athletic Games that organized at the end of the 19th century true social-sports events, with figures whose records transcended the borders of the country. The gravitation of the Club was so vital and important that at the beginning of 1892 it was asked for support for the foundation of the  Argentine Athletic Association of the Rio de la Plata , but unfortunately there are no subsequent data of its participation. The same case occurs with the founding of the current  Argentine Football Association (AFA), in whose original foundation it is very possible that the Club will participate.
On June 29, 1886, the  CAR  played with the then  Buenos Aires Football Club  the first interclub rugby match to be held in the country, played in its former sports field on Salta Street.
In 1899 the  CAR , along with  Buenos Aires FC ,  Belgrano AC  and  Lomas AC , founded the current  Unión Argentina de Rugby  (UAR). He participated in his championships until 1913 and then from 1934 to 1944, from 1951 to 1955 and from 1983 to 1995, winning the championships of 1905, 1906 and 1935.

In 1928 the  CAR  participated in the foundation of the  Rugby Union of Rosario , competing in its official championships in all its divisions, winning the championship in many seasons.
